Red Devils make a trip to Carrow Road for their FA Cup quarter-final clash against Norwich City.

After a rampant 3-0 league victory against Sheffield United on Wednesday, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer turns his focus on the FA Cup with a crucial quarter-final tie on the horizon.

Seeking his first silverware as a manager at Man United, Solskjaer is a game away from a trip to Wembley for a last-four clash of the FA Cup. Also, the Old Trafford club is well placed in Europe’s secondary competition Europa League.

With games coming thick and fast, it’s imperative that Man United’s management utilises the squad by rotating the players to avoid overworking some of them.

Norwich City, with their chances of Premier League survival in dire straits, must be itching at the prospect of featuring in the oldest club competition’s semi-final round to make something worthwhile happen in their 2019/20 campaign.

Man United Team News:

Considering the run of fixtures, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hinted towards making some changes for the Norwich clash by saying (via MEN);

"With the long layoff we’ve had, looking after the players is one of our jobs and, as you say rotation. We played Wednesday, Saturday, Tuesday and Saturday again, the heat. There’ll be a few changes."

More from Manchester United

On the back of an exhilarating attacking performance in scorching heat on Wednesday, the attack could undergo major changes for Manchester United. After scoring a hat-trick, Anthony Martial is certain to be rested for fellow striker Odion Ighalo.

In defence, only the full-back spot could witness change with Diogo Dalot and Brandon Williams featuring in place of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw.

Still finding their feet after a long time out due to injuries, Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba could feature from the bench against the Canaries. Fred, who has found limited minutes since the football resumed, is set to occupy a spot in the engine room.

Scott McTominay, given his excellent performance in United’s last visit to Carrow Road, could play a combative role in Solskjaer’s midfield axis. To link the attacking play, Andreas Pereira is set to start on Saturday so that Bruno Fernandes recuperates his energy ahead of a crucial run of games.

Jesse Lingard, who is yet to feature for the Red Devils since the commencement of football action, is guaranteed to play a part in United’s frontline. Given the Englishman’s sporadic training schedule due to injury, the attacking midfielder is a probable substitute option for Solskjaer.

Apart from Axel Tuanzebe and Phil Jones, there are no additional reports of injury in Manchester United squad.

Suspensions: None.
