Klopp only had his eyes on the biggest prize, and that was the Premier League title. After several slips by Pep Guardiola and his Sharks, there was some breathing room to take on other challenges.

Liverpool remained unbeaten for 27 matchdays in the Premier League and from this point it was clear, this Anfield club was about to experience the best era of their existence. Fighting for another three gold medals while having two already, Liverpool were about to pull off a quintuple.

They were about to go one better than their rivals Arsenal, Chelsea, Man United, Man City, and Spurs. However, all this ended in three foolish moments after doing most of the hard work in the early parts of the season.

The first foolish mistakes – Liverpool’s loss to Watford

Yes, it never lost them the league, yet, it was a match they should have won after beating every team in the league. That and because Watford was one of the teams sitting in a relegation slot.

What made it even more painful was the 3-0 scoreline at Vicarage Road. What Liverpool lost besides three points was their unbeaten record (Arsenal keep their golden title for another season) and could not better Man City’s 18-straight victories. More red “X” added onto the list.
