Maddison has become the main link between defence and attack for Brendan Rodgers. He just keeps Improving with each game, week, and season that passes.

At only 23 years of age, James Maddison has shown massive improvements in his game compared to last season. This provides all the evidence he will be a world-beater one day.

He has been instrumental to Leicester City this season providing 6 goals and 3 assists in 25 matches played while they lay in 3rd place in the EPL. Last season Maddison registered 7 goals and 7 assists in 36 matches played. If he continues on this great run he may just surpass that figures.

Choosing Maddison was a difficult choice. It was a toss-up between him and Jack Grealish. Grealish has also been excellent in a sub-par Aston Villa team but Maddison has been the overall better player especially when being involved in team play and defensive duties.

Grealish has, however, been better than James Maddison in the scoring and assisting department, racking up 7 goals and 6 assists in 24 appearances. Should Aston Villa get relegated this season, there is no doubt Grealish will be snapped up in the next transfer window by a Premier League team.
