Fixtures

Here are my fixture rankings for the next 6/10 weeks

  • Southampton have a cracking run after Liverpool, so don’t sell off Ings just yet
  • Sheffield United’s defence should be top of your wish list, just be wary of that BGW28
  • Liverpool are so good you should have 3 of them
  • Things are looking tough for Watford and Norwich
  • Man City have not got good fixtures but are they fixture proof?

Stats

GW24

  • Unsurprisingly Salah (14) and Firmino (13) are top for penalty box touches in the GW where they played twice, however it is surprising they weren’t further ahead
  • Grealish, Son, Sterling, Iheanacho and Azpilicueta all followed close behind with 9
  • Salah also had most shots with 11, trigger-happy Maupay was not far behind with 8
  • Firmino had the most big chances with 3, but showed why he is not considered one of the best strikers in the league as he wasted all of them!
  • Mata created 5 chances this week, joint with Mooy and Emerson, to remind everyone what a potent force he can be when given freedom

GW19-24 (As per my last article I’m looking at last 6 matches rather than GWs to stop Liverpool’s double pushing them to the top of everything)

  • Mo Salah is still top with 56 touches in the box and 23 goal attempts (which is joint with Calvert-Lewin)
  • He is followed up by David Silva (52) and Wilf Zaha (48), although neither of those has anywhere near his output!
  • Jimenez is also keeping up on the shot count with 22
  • Jesus has had more big chances than anyone with 10, but his strike partner’s conversion is incredible as he has scored 6 of his 7 big chances (Jesus has scored 3 of 10)
  • Buendia of Norwich is way out in the lead for chances created with 27 (next highest is Silva on 17)
  • Doherty dominates the defender’s stats with the most big chances (6) and joint most goal attempts (9, level with Azpilicueta)
