It has been reported wonderkid Jude Bellingham from Birmingham City is subject to a £30 million bid from Man United.

Top clubs around Europe have been keeping a close eye on teenage sensation, Jude Bellingham. He has fast established himself as one of the best 16-year-olds since his move to Birmingham City.

The latest club to be mentioned going in for the wonderkid is Man United. Sky Sports are reporting the Old Trafford side have lodged a £30 million bid for the versatile player, after initially reporting they are only willing to pay £25m for him.

"The box-to-box midfielder has also attracted interest from Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool as he earned rave reviews in his 25 appearances for the Blues this season.Manchester United have made a bid in excess of £30m for Birmingham’s 16-year-old midfielder Jude Bellingham, Sky Sports News can confirm. As per the report in The Sun, United are keen to bring Bellingham to Old Trafford and have now made an approach to sign him from the Championship club. Man United hoping for an Alli or Rooney outcome

More from Manchester United

If rumours are true and the once-mighty Red Devils are ready to battle at £30m for one of England’s most promising prospects, they must be trusting he will be a hit like previous legend, Wayne Rooney. That, or a turnaround like current English international, Dele Alli.

I consider both Wayne and Dele to be big successes in the EPL, even though the latter has had a major dip in form across campaigns. Thankfully, some of that class form has returned since the inclusion of Jose Mourinho as Spurs manager.

A reason he (Bellingham) could become either of the two England stars mentioned is due to his ability to play a copious amount of positions in the team. The possibility of becoming either or is quite high. The odds of him surpassing Alli is even higher.

Not only does he possess this multifaceted character as a teenager but he also has the class to play in each position at the highest level like some of the senior players in Top Flight football. At his tender age, he has already made 24 appearances for City and has been involved in four goals for the club. Amazing for a young English playing in the EFL Championship.

Now is the time to risk it all

Man United need to complete the signings of Bruno Fernandes and now Jude Bellingham. At £30m many would question, haven’t Man United wasted enough money on unproven talent? Well, right now, United are not in the driving seat regarding transfers and many other things.

They will be milked by clubs and players for the most money they can. As always, adding to this, English players are just way overpriced. Though this should also stand as testimony to how good he is and the potential he can unlock to becoming a world-class Premier League player.
