Tottenham 4-2 Olympiacos

It was the Portuguese great’s first home game in front of his new fans, in the newly developed Tottenham Stadium. Far from the perfect start but the job was done in the end.

Spurs fell victim to two early first-half goals. In the first 20 minutes of the game, Yousseff El-Arabi and Rúben Semedo capitalised on poor defending by the home side.

A screamer by El-Arabi from outside the box in open play after a mistake by Danny Rose handed them the ball with aches of space and time to unleash one of the goals of the night.

The second goal showcased even worst defending when they conceded from a set-piece. After calming his side down, just before the halfway break Spurs drew back one goal through Dele Alli, and it was game on again.

The second half got underway and this is where we saw the momentum well with the hosts and Spurs’ man of the match lead them to three points. Who was the man of the match?

Spurs ballboy of cause. He quick released a counter-attack that led to their second of the night and Kane’s first of the game.

After this, it was all Spurs. They then assured their three points with a pair of goals in the 73rd minute and the 77th minute of the game, with Harry grabbing his second for the night.

A great way to show Tottenham’s recovery is right on track.
