The Hare and The Tortoise

It was another big week for the Hare, managing 81 points before a -8 thanks to Vardy captain, Maddison, Pulisic, Abraham, Mane, Tomori and Soyuncu all returning. Currently, the Leicester trio in the team are the top 3 transfers in, and Vardy was joint top scorer last week. Therefore it might be a chance to hold and roll a transfer, or the Hare might offload Pieters/Fredericks to get in Tarkowski who matched Vardy’s points total.

The Tortoise had a better time than the week before last but still only managed a solid 58 (still 30 points better off than the Hare overall). Captain Salah, plus Vardy, Robertson and Tomori all helped but there’s a lot that needs to be done with that squad depending on injuries. Now might even be a time to wildcard!

The Top Flight Mini League

Personally I finally climbed into the top 50 this week, so I’m happy with that! Always feels a bit odd dispensing advice to people higher up than you are!

There was also a change at the top as Andrew McLean’s Come on my Son climbed back to the summit of the mini league. An impressive 74 points thanks to a lot of the same players that helped the Hare, plus Pope’s clean sheet and a bonus from Son, who is almost a differential at 7.6% owned!

Top scorer for the week was Jason McDonagh’s G Barnes United, helped by a relatively unsuccessful bench boost (just the 7 points including 0 from sub keeper Heaton who was injured). Jason had most of the template we’ve seen as well as Jimenez, another decent option whose star is on the rise following 3 goals in the last 4 games.
