In total, the English Premier League take up 50% of the 30-man Ballon d’Or shortlist. Of this percentage, only three players were from other EPL clubs.

The North London of England takes up three of the slots on the Ballon d’Or shortlist. The first player on the list is always reliable and lethal in front of goal, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Another attacker and a bitter rival to Aubameyang makes the elite cut. Arguably one of the best, if not the best player to come from the Asian continent is Heung-Min Son. Joining him and allocating the last spot is his teammate, Hugo Lloris. This comes as a big shock. Should he be on the list?
