The Hare and the Tortoise

The tortoise continues to plod slowly to victory with 40 points this week, impressive under the circumstances, far outstripping the Hare’s 27.

Wesley and Mount were the big scorers for the tortoise, while the hare only had a return from Abraham, and the likes of Son, Bernardo Silva, Salah and Aguero all fell flat. This week’s top scorer was Traore, so the Hare will end up with 2 Wolves players… At least they’ve got good fixtures!

This week more than ever it’s important to wait for the press conferences so we can find out which yellow flags are simply a case of ‘international duty-itus’ and which are legitimate injuries, so I’ll be making most moves on Friday night.

The Top Flight Mini-League

No change at the top of the league as Matthias Mizi has built up a respectable lead and managed a middling 36 points thanks to Kelly, Lundstram and Mount.

The top scorer in the league this week was Justice Mensah of Ghana with an impressive score of 68! His Chelsea triple of Kante, Mount and captain Abraham all came up with points, while Mane and a Palace double up of Kelly and Ayew also helped.

It could have been even better as he (justifiably) started De Gea (2) instead of Ryan (7), but Man United were a disappointment while Brighton kept out a lacklustre Spurs side!
