The bottom-of-the-table battle between Wolves and Watford, who would have thought. Can Wolves rekindle their home form of last season, and can Watford get something going?

Wolves vs. Watford

It’s not so strange when teams who achieved the best starts outside of the top six, are now the worst two clubs outside of the top six a season later. Both, the Wanderers and Wolverhampton are in search of their first three points, in other words, their first win for the campaign.

Watford boasts a stat they want to try to put behind them and cut down on. They go into Matchday 7 as the worst conceding team with 18 goals against them. That’s three goals allowed per game. Appalling stat that is.

Wolves just about yielding to a goal a game and are the culprits of sharing too many points. Four draws and two losses are far from the follow-up they expected. Last season this encounter saw the two cancel each other out with them each winning away from home. Hopefully, the Hornets will start buzzing if they can pull off another away win against Wolves.

Tottenham vs. Southampton

The Saints are the next club who gets their first taste of the new White Hart Lane. Will they build on their last meeting with Spurs where they won the fixture 2-1? Like that fixture, Mauricio Pochettino is suffering from similar dilemmas regarding fitness to key players.

Off a back of a defeat, Spurs will be looking to bounce back and recapture the same form that saw them put four past Crystal Palace on Matchday 5. If Ralph Hasenhuttl can pull off a surprise win, it will be the first time they beat Spurs in back-to-back games since 2003/04.

The visitors are also in search of their third consecutive victory on the road. Spurs have to get back on their horse, and the Saints need to start their fight early to avoid relegation. It’s a dark road they don’t want to drive down.

Score predictions:
Wolves 2-2 Watford
Tottenham 3-0 Southampton
