Man United almost ready to pull off a shock transfer for Christian Eriksen
Man United and Ole Gunnar’s busy transfer window is far from complete, even though they’ve just announced the incoming of Harry Maguire.
The defensive line is pretty souped-up after two new arrivals in Aaron Wan-Bissaka and as mentioned, Harry Maguire. The two have added quality to the United backline while being regarding as major improvements to the error-prone due of Phil Jones and James Smalling.
Yet, when looking around there are areas that needed attention as well. Players returning to full fitness and arriving in slots in the attacking phase left them with few spots to either fill up or refill with replacements, as they did early in the window with Daniel James from Swansea City.
Problems still persist with the likes of wantaway, Paul Pogba. If United do pull off a blinder with the shocking transfer of Christian Eriksen, the Frenchman will be allowed to leave Old Trafford.

Why though, two different midfield positions?
Ole loves a proper hard worker in the team, and he has that all over even without the World Cup winner on the pitch. The hard-working man to clean up in front of the back four will be none other than Scott McTominay.
He and Matic would either form a partnership or play alone, but will effortlessly allow Erikson all the freedom to orchestrate his best work in the middle of the park. They will get the best out of the Dane with such a structure around him.
United’s game could actually be converted and specifically built around Erikson, if or when leaves. He will supply Rashford and co upfront with endless opportunities. And in my opinion, he would serve as a far more suitable number 10 than what Jesse Lingard does.
In return, would this leave the English mid man as a second choice perhaps? Could be very well that. Or Ole has another plan for both men. The only problem is the huge price tag placed on the Denmark international’s back of £130m.
Spurs have already given him the green light for the move to transpire, with them on the lookout already for a replacement in either Bruno Fernandes or recent rumours, Philippe Coutinho and Paulo Dybala. The North London side is said to have a bid of £70m accepted by Juventus, and all that remains is the player needs to decide on his future.
