Newcastle could be returning to prominence after news that owner Mike Ashley has finally decided to sell the club.
Early hours of Monday morning the first reports surfaced family member of Man City’s wealthy owner, Sheik Mansour is on the verge of accepting a deal with the Toon army’s current owner, Mike Ashley. The Toons wasn’t having any of it and were sceptic about the “rumours”.
No one can blame them for their false belief, as this would be the third time the CEO of Sports Direct has put the club up for sale. All deals were in similar positions but never actualised into anything, and the hated man went on running the show.

The deal in place is said to make the British businessman £350 million richer if he is to sell/when he sells. The buyer goes by the handle, Sheik Khaled, (full name, Sheik Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan) half-brother of title winner, Sheik Mansour.
Representatives of the Sheik understand the transaction should be confirmed sometime this week, as soon as possible.

What follows will keep the crowd on their feet
The biggest transfer this club needs to happen is this one, the transfer of owners. The next most important move on the cheese board is holding onto Rafa Benitez.
The fans are desperate for this to happen, and apparently, so are the potential buyers. After all the affairs are done and dusted, Rafa’s stay is at the top of the list for them to thrash out.
"The representatives also insisted that the prospective new owner is very keen to keep Rafa Benitez as manager of the club and that the takeover is expected to be done in time for this summer’s transfer window. (Taken from MailOnline)"
European football is coming
If Rafa could accomplish the impossible as he did with a wearing team over the past two seasons with Newcastle, imagine what he could do with the financial support of Sheik Khaled?
European football, better showings in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup and most importantly, finishing higher up the Premier League table. The possibilities are endless.
