Early deals and your team of choice is what Man United and Ole need in his first full season as the Old Trafford boss.

The reconstruction of the sleeping giant Manchester United is underway. Not a whisper in the ear but a loud shout on many players on the out at Old Trafford. The search for a new identity crossed with the old United way is what they reckon is on the menu.

The new identity seems to have taken shape in the form of Swansea winger Daniel James, according to Sky Sports. The deal being discussed between the Championship side and the Premier League club for Daniel is said to be in the region of £15 million.

The 21-year-old Welshman has a year left on his current deal with Swansea and was closing in on a move to join Leeds United for £5 million less than what United are getting him for. Though this deal fell apart during the January transfer window as submitted by Sky Sports and now Ole is in for the forward.

What Daniel James will bring to United

Knowing players with absurd wage bills collecting splinters on the bench are on their way out of the club, they will need fresh faces to work with. Alexis Sanchez and Juan Mata are assumed to be on this list of departures, leaving Anthony Martial alone to take up space on the side.

He (James) could serve as a backup to the Frenchman or even operate on the opposite side of the pitch, perhaps even becoming a regular starter for the Norwegian boss. He enjoys cutting in, starting the attack, and has a strong weaker foot. But being predominately left footed he will be more effective on the right-hand side of the field.

He has made 38 appearances for the Swans and has contributed with five goals and seven assists across all competitions. Making a breakthrough in Ryan Giggs’ Welsh team, he rewarded the United legend, scoring the only goal of the game.

A hero for his country in their EURO 2020 Qualifiers back in March giving the Dragons three points in their opener of Group E. They place second in the standings with a game in hand thanks to his important contribution.

What stands out most about the player is work rate and his passing in the final third. This will be a good first signing for the Red Devils and a step in the right direction. No huge price tag, no hassle, means less pressure.
