Brighton must find a way to get out of their slump. Chris Hughton has a huge task on his hands, failure to keep Brighton in the league is likely to result in a managerial change at the Amex Stadium.

Brighton’s remaining fixtures are a tough proposition for any team. How many points can the Seagulls pick up?

Wolves (a) – Nuno Espírito Santos has enjoyed a good start to life in the Premier League, an FA Cup final would have been the icing on the cake. Wolves are on a poor run of form, however, a top-seven finish is on the cards. It’s difficult to see Wolves losing the game. Verdict – Defeat for Brighton.

Spurs (a) – Mauricio Pochettino has got his players firing on all cylinders at home. Spurs could enjoy their biggest win at their new stadium. Verdict – Defeat for Brighton.

Newcastle (h) – Rafa’s men are likely to be on the beach by the time they play Brighton. Newcastle have achieved Premier League survival and Brighton will pick up a point. Verdict – Draw.

Arsenal (a) – The Gunners are in the four-way battle for a Champions League spot. Unai Emery’s side have too much quality to throw three points away against a team struggling for form. Verdict – Defeat for Brighton.

Manchester City (h) – Man City may have secured the league title. Sergio Agüero and Raheem Sterling are in the race for the Premier League golden boot. Man City could wrap up the title with a big scoreline. Verdict – Defeat for Brighton.

It’s predicted that Brighton will pick up one point from a possible 15. It’s a scenario that sums up their season, however, relegation can be avoided if results elsewhere go in Hughton’s favour.
