Paul Pogba has been known for his controversial statements in media, and the Frenchman’s recent comments about Real Madrid have left Manchester United fans fuming yet again.

Manchester United ultimately managed to ride on an unbeaten streak post-December thanks to the efficient man management of their caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. However, the Red Devils could not restrain themselves out of headlines for long. It was their all-time social media star, Paul Pogba whose comments have been criticized in Manchester.

The World Cup champion had been bashed heavily before by former Man U manager Jose Mourinho for his social media posts, press statements and off the field activities. The Portuguese man thought that Pogba’s off-field behavior distracted his individual performances, as well as team performance. The 26-year-old was even banned from using social media by his former manager.

The treatment the former Juventus man received under Jose might have looked harsh for some but there’s always fire where there is smoke. Only just when things look ideal under Solskjaer, Pogba stated something which has not been appreciated by many around the world.

He told the news conference;

“Real Madrid is one of the biggest clubs in the world. I’ve always said it is a dream club for every player.”

The Frenchman who has scored 14 goals and helped with 11 assists this season, had finally gained his form and a first-team place under the Norwegian manager. When he is already at one of the biggest clubs in the world, such statements only tend to create uncertainty and headlines for all the wrong reasons.

There are other big players in England like Kane, Sterling and Eriksen, who inevitably will have aspirations to play for the legendary clubs do no such thing. None of them starts commenting in news conferences during the international break unless they absolutely want to make a move to the new club. Pogba said he was happy at the club from Manchester but his comments have created speculations and warnings for Spanish clubs to sign him in the nearby future.

The number six, who has been penned down to Old Trafford until 2021, needs to be cognizant about his comments in the public and avoid any breakdown of morale in the dressing room. The Red Devils are fighting a battle in the English Premier League to catch up with the first four positions.

Moreover, they have a significant challenge ahead in the Champions League where they meet FC Barcelona in the quarterfinals. Solskjaer will need Paul Pogba and the entire team to show some magic over the two legs, to stand any chance of winning against the Spanish champions.
