Midfielder: Fernandinho (Manchester City) – Fernandinho’s importance to his Manchester City side cannot be understated, and perhaps is most evident in games when the Brazilian sits out. City lacks the control that makes them so deadly when he is not playing, and he put in another masterful shift against Chelsea. He had 3 interceptions, 4 clearances, and 4 tackles in just the 74 minutes played and contributed as much on the offensive end in breaking Sarri’s press as he did in winning the ball back for his team high up the pitch.

Midfielder: Georginio Wijnaldum (Liverpool) – Wijnaldum has quietly become one of the first names on Jurgen Klopp’s team sheet, and it is not hard to see why. He was everywhere on the pitch against Bournemouth, contributing three key passes and boasting over a 90% pass accuracy. The Dutchman capped off his lovely performance with a delightful little dink and is forming a nice partnership with Fabinho in the center of the park for the Reds.
