Midfielder: Paul Pogba (Manchester United) – Well, this is the Paul Pogba that United signed, isn’t it! Under Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, the Frenchman may be enjoying the best spell of his career to date. While others like Marcus Rashford and Victor Lindelof were rested against Fulham, Solksjaer elected to play Pogba, and his two goals proved the manager’s decision an apt one. Pogba was superb against Fulham, with an excellent finish to open the scoring in the first half followed by a penalty. He also controlled the game well for United, who never seemed in doubt of a victory.

Midfielder: Christian Eriksen (Tottenham) – Playing without Harry Kane and Dele Alli, Spurs had to rely on Christian Eriksen for that creative spark against Leicester over the weekend. Eriksen duly delivered with another pinpoint free-kick that found the head of Davinson Sanchez for the opener, and then delivered an arrow into the bottom corner from the edge of the box to make it 2-0. Eriksen and Son Heung-Min has carried the load for Tottenham as of late, and have kept them in the title race as the London club wait for their other two stars to return.
