Man United: Sticky situation – Club’s best player or frustrating manager
Time to choose for all who are you Manchester United. Rumours or not, true or false, what do you want as a loyal supporter heading into the new year?
Man United has been the talk of the town from the start of the season, leading all the way to now. Not one day has gone by without the players, manager and club, making the headlines. Nonetheless, not all has been negative talk, with a nice tone here and there.
But if we were to weigh up the good and the bad of this United side? It would weigh very heavy to one side – pointing at one man at the beginning of it all, Jose Mourinho. Since joining the club, Old Trafford has been nothing short of drama and terrible talk.
Players unhappiness and the manager always defending his world-class status as a man. That’s about it. However, even with this status, players are ready to lose their Red Devils and are search of more fruits for their labours.

Players who take the tags of usual suspects are Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, and David de Gea – all for their individual reasons. The latter of three mentioned has been a subject to a transfer in consecutive seasons, but has stayed true to the Untied badge.
Unfortunately, being labelled as one of the best keepers in the English Premier League, and arguably in the world – he can’t keep playing for the fans only. De Gea has once again become the talk of one of the biggest transfers from the English Premier League, heading to a new league.
What’s the story now?
Earlier in the week The Top Flight reported, PSG want to make David de Gea the highest paid goalkeeper in the world. This after rumours surfaced, the Spaniard is ready to consider other options and signing a new deal is the last option on the plate.
Move on a week or so and there’s a bit more spice added to the story. It was reported by the Mirror and many other outlets, David de Gea will only discuss new terms with knowledge that Jose Mourinho will no longer be at the club come next season.
No surprise of this, but now is the question really that hard to answer? Or, are there still Jose believers that count on the United manager to get them out of those longterm rut? The question is… Jose Mourinho, or David de Gea? You choose…
