UEFA Nations League: England go to Croatia for World Cup rematch

England’s bright new squad
One of the biggest criticisms of Gareth Southgate’s team from the World Cup was the lack of creative spark from the middle of midfield. England lacked that against Spain for much of their UNL debut but some changes in the team sheet could spice that up. The usual suspects are in the squad with Harry Kane, Jordan Pickford, Kieran Trippier, and others ready to face Croatia again.
The new additions come in midfield with Leicester City’s James Maddison and Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho getting the first call-ups of their careers. This is the perfect time for Southgate to do this with two UNL games happening for England this break and Maddison and Sancho can add a creative spark down the middle Southgate needs.
Maddison and Sancho have combined for eight assists in 16 games for their clubs and with Harry Kane up top to pass to, this team’s full attacking potential could finally be realized.
