England is looking for their first win in the UEFA Nations League and some revenge against a team they lost to in Russia, Croatia.

The UEFA Nations League continues tonight in Rijeka, Croatia when the World Cup runners-up host the Three Lions of England in a rematch of the semifinal from Russia just three months ago. On that fateful day of July 11th, 2018, Kieran Trippier’s fifth-minute free-kick wasn’t enough to take England to their first World Cup final since 1966.

Instead, Croatia scored in the middle of the second half and then got the winner from Mario Mandzukic in extra time. If you don’t remember what happened, here is a refresher.

Tonight’s match is once again a must-win for both nations in the new Nations League competition. In the September matches, both England and Croatia lost to Spain to begin the UNL. England fell at Wembley 2-1 in an end-to-end match. Croatia got slaughtered by Espana 6-0 at home in a shocking defeat. A win could keep either side in contention for the final four and safety while a loser might be facing relegation to League B.
