The worse feeling is to be so close to something, but yet so far. A second failure from the side who are in search of silverware this season.

So from what has been dotted down, the moment it all went into a state of a dirty toilet for Klopp was when Naby Keita got driven off the pitch, courtesy of sideline assistance, you number one medical unite. It was a major turning point in the game.

Klopp should not have gone with Henderson and rather should have gone with Shaqiri. Playing well enough, he was worthy of a start. Same goes for Sturridge. Something different had to give in the fixture. Those were two big game changers that should have been made.

Then there’s the late substitution… Putting on a striker late in the game when you away and the scoreline reads 0-0, makes no sense. Doing it around 65 minutes leaves a better impression. Normally, this would be the time you introduced a defender, or three maybe.

That was bad enough for the Reds, We don’t even have to discuss the front three… They’ve not been anything like last season and were poor in the final third.

dark. Next. Two things we learned with Arsenal’s win over Qarabag

Conclusion to all this last minutes drama for Klopp?

Shake it off and try again. He will have to think about dipping into the market for Philippe Coutinho’s replacement come January. Try in every way possible not to play James Milner and Jordan Henderson together in the midfield.

It has to be one or the other. That player now because of form? Trustworthy James Milner. Small changes make big differences. Klopp is need of one before Manchester City on Sunday.
