Two goals in as many games, across all competitions that are both of Puskas quality – has been scored by the Liverpool forward, Daniel Sturridge.

Liverpool seemed dead and buried before Sturridge decided to try the most outrageous of shots. 9 times out of ten, that’s the worst possible shot to take.

But, Sturridge is one of only a handful of players who can take the worst shot and make it look good. The swerve, the curl, the dip, it was a magnificent effort. The front three of Liverpool have not hit the lofty heights they set last season, however, they are getting very positive results.

Daniel Sturridge and the underrated Xherdan Shaqiri are providing necessary attacking depth to this Liverpool squad. Last season, Klopp’s only attacking options were Dominik Solanke and Danny Ings.

If Sturridge can keep this form and keep fit, Liverpool could find that extra gear to truly sustain a title challenge all season. For now, simply enjoy the most beautiful random goal you will ever see.
