Liverpool and Spurs set the pace. Will the others follow with sound answers, or  are we in for even bigger shockers than before the niggling break?

Manchester City vs. Fulham

Manchester City gets to introduce Fulham to the Etihad and show them exactly why they are champions. City left it till late in the last showing against Newcastle. A cracker from Walker was enough for the three points.

The second of three promoted sides to face City. Wolves gave the Citizens a run for the money, will Fulham follow suit? Fulham got off to a bad start but slowly recovered through the weeks. It will take them playing at 100% to beat the boys in blue. City firm favourites for this one.

Bournemouth vs. Leicester City

The Cherries suffered their first loss before the break. Other than that, they haven’t put a foot wrong and the only reason they came away with nothing? They stepped up against a team in a far better groove than themselves, Chelsea.

However, Leicester City could be in luck if star forward, Ryan Fraser is not available for their encounter. A major doubt, with a decision to be made ahead of the game. The Foxes are two for four this campaign, and have been playing some quality football.

They will be happy Vardy returns to the party, adding the firepower that was missing when they came up short in front of goal and lost the tie to Liverpool. Considering both Howe’s and Puel’s starts, a draw is heavy on the cards.

Newcastle vs Arsenal

Last season this fixture was probably the catalyst to Newcastle’s Premier League survival. Much has changed for one team since then and a slight struggle is real in the Gunners camp.

Much like Arsenal, the home side Newcastle have seen better days. Some really tough fixtures in the early part of the campaign for the Toon Army, with this one being no different. They’ve left themselves with one point and no look of them doing any better.

Arsenal have gained back-to-back wins in their new era. A third in as many appears to be on the cards. Unai and his men are my favourites to take all the points in this tie.
