Watford 2-1 Tottenham

Yes, you read that correctly. What makes this even more bizarre is that Watford scored 3 times. This is thanks to an own-goal by Doucoure, which was the first score of the game. This was followed by strikes from set-pieces by Deeney and Cathcart. While this should be worrying to Tottenham, the game was not over until the final whistle. Moura and Trippier were constant threats down the right and Kane had a few chances to tie up the game.

Watford continue to punch above their weight with this victory. They have won every game so far, which puts them at the top of the league along with Chelsea and Liverpool. Also, Watford’s Jose Holebas is tied for first in assists so far. While their schedule isn’t easy in the coming weeks, any team they face will have to think twice about them. Tottenham, on the other hand, will have to get their act together.
