Tottenham 3-1 Fulham

Fulham’s 1,000th game in the Top Flight ended in a defeat. Tottenham took the lead into the tunnel with a curling strike from Lucas Moura. Fulham was able to equalize right out of the second half as Aleksandar Mitrovic scored his first EPL goal in four years. It was 1-1 for 22 minutes until Kieran Trippier added another free-kick to his growing collection.

The close to perfect day for Spurs ended with Harry Kane’s August curse breaking. He put the icing on the cake in the 78th minute and gave Spurs their second straight win to start the season. Tottenham faces a tougher test against Man United next week while Fulham takes two defeats back home against Burnley.
