A classic encounter between Chelsea and Arsenal headlined a hectic Saturday in the Premier League. Here is how it happened.

Cardiff 0-0 Newcastle

The first-half was full of rough challenges at the Cardiff City Stadium. Kenedy had a little kickabout on an opposing player and was lucky to avoid a red card.

The Magpies suffered a second straight week with an injured fullback. Javier Manquillo exited the match after the first half when he suffered a hard tackle by Josh Murphy. The red card eventually came in the 67th minute when Manquillo’s replacement Isaac Hayden was sent off.

The drama reached its peak in the last second when Sean Morrison’s handball gave Newcastle a penalty with a chance to win. Kenedy’s penalty was saved by Neil Etheridge, his second in two weeks.

It earned the Bluebirds a point, which they will take to John Smith’s Stadium next weekend when they face Huddersfield Town. Newcastle host Maurizio Sarri and Chelsea next Sunday.
