The player who took the time out and waited for his dream move, Naby Keita. Still too early to tell if he is that player, but certainly was a major asset in his first appearance.

No goals and no assists on the day, but a performance of note when he took to the pitch at Anfield on Sunday past. Besides James Milner, who won Man of the Match on the day, Naby Keita was one of the most lively figures for Liverpool.

Always finding space with his great movement and applying some great passes to his game was just a glimpse of what people have been raving about the African player. He did give the impression there’s not much he can’t do.

He was unlucky not to get on the scorecard, but one thing’s for sure – he certainly owned that midfield. Crystal Palace will be a real test, seeing they’ve been a thorn in Liverpool’s side for many season.
