Watford 2-0 Brighton

The Hornets dominated the Seagulls at Vicarage Road with 19 shots and two goals in their 2018-19 opener. The Argentine midfielder Roberto Pereyra registered the first brace of the Premier League season with two lovely goals. His first was a volley that snuck past Mathew Ryan. His second happened quickly after the second half from a tight angle.

The brace earns the three points for Javi Gracia and Watford before they hit the road next weekend. Watford’s midfield foursome of Pereyra, Capoue, Hughes, and Doucoure commanded the game for all 90 minutes. They move on to Burnley while Brighton will host Manchester United at the AmEx.
