Wolves 2-2 Everton

The Molineux Stadium had so many debuts it was hard to keep track. Richarlison had one of the debuts to be remembered in a thrilling game. After getting a yellow card in the 14th minute, he quickly gave Toffee fans big grins with a debut goal against Wolves when he poked in the first during a scramble.

Things went sour for Everton when Phil Jagielka received a straight red card with a studs-up challenge outside the box. The red was the 90th in Everton’s EPL history, the most of all-time. The ensuing free kick was curled in by Portuguese youngster Ruben Neves to send Wolves fans mental.

Everton shocked the system and rose back up at the Molineux in the second-half. Richarlison curled one past Rui Patricio for a debut brace and to give Everton a 2-1 lead with 10 men. Richarlison and former Watford teammate Roberto Pereyra end the day tied for the Golden Boot.

That lead didn’t last too long when Raul Jimenez headed in the equalizer in the 80th minute. Ruben Neves sent in a beautiful cross in the perfect place to add an assist to his tremendous debut. This proved to be the deciding goal as Wolves and Everton play the first draw of the season.

Richarlison silenced the doubters in his debut with some excellent goals, but the star was Ruben Neves who just became a fan-favorite among the neutral EPL fans. The season is off to a flying start with 19 goals in the first seven games.
