After a season filled with despair, disaster and a managerial change, it seems plans to a better start to next season’s run is moving along swiftly.

Since moving to the London Stadium in an attempt to gain a larger revenue for the club and a stronger push in the league – West Ham have failed to recapture the excitement and intense feelings they created at Upton Park. It has been felt by all – from players to staff, right through to the fans.

After enduring the worse run under ex-manager, Slaven Bilic, West Ham decided it was time to part ways with the manager who looked as if he could bring the London club back to their best. Unfortunately, it was short-lived after the move to the new stadium took effect.

The bad times were far from finished and the new man sent in to save the Hammers and hit home was David Moyes. Confused and unconvinced – many believed the Scott was not the right man for the job. They were all spot on! Now the search has resumed for another new man, as the club has decided in not renewing Moyes’ contract – as reports suggests.

A new man being named as the boss

It is no secret the board of West Ham have had it up to their ears with David Moyes and his bad run of games. Until the last day of the campaign – Moyes job was under scrutiny and a replacement was being rumoured to be at the summit of the Hammers’ changers.

Some time ago, strong rumours emerged the Londoners are in favour of a move for Spanish favourite, Rafael Benitez. Once again, moving two years on from 2015 and the links surfaced once again. This season after he pulled off miracles inside St. James Park gives enough evidence why they would feel so strongly about the Newcastle boss coming in.

However since being named as a possible successor, a new name has been on the lips of many, and being reported by most tabloids in the footballing globe. The man said to have met with the Hammers was Paulo Fonseca of Shakhtar Donetsk.

After been photographed in England and said to have held talks with the club – Fonseca takes over as the favourite to land the job. A man to be named as the boss appears to be a high priority and could be over after a new search has just commenced.

Names joining the Portuguese are Manchester City ex-boss, Manuel Pellegrini, Hoffenheim boss, Julian Nagelsmann and above mentioned, Rafael Benitez. These are just a few of the names been called out with the club.

West Ham and their reasons for a new Hammer head

West Ham had one of the worst starts to a Premier League campaign out the lot. If it wasn’t for major failure, Frank de Boer – the club would have certainly been the worse of the lot. They collected no points from their first three fixtures.

This was just the start of the turmoil experienced by the London outfit. Start and stop, stop and start, basically sums up the run by a club who were supposed to be in a better position come this season.

Next: A beast of a team joins the EPL

Bilic and Moyes put together a whopping total of 16 losses, conceding 68 goals in the process. 68 goals conceded is the joint highest in the Premier League. The only other team was Stoke City, who rightfully but sadly, got relegated. The Hammers only managed 10 wins, while sharing the points on 12 different occasions.

Over enough evidence the motion to replace their current manager is a step in the right direction.
