Huddersfield 0-1 Arsenal

The final game managing Arsenal for Arsene Wenger was one filled with hope for the future. The 1-0 win at the John Smith’s Stadium stamped a disappointing sixth-placed finish on 63 points, but the Gunners lone goal was a historic one.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s 38th-minute winner makes him the fastest Arsenal player to ten Premier League goals. In just 13 games, Aubameyang equaled the goal totals of Sadio Mane, Leroy Sane, and beat out Alexis Sanchez and David Silva. He is fast on the pitch and quickly made an impact for Arsenal.

The Terriers end the season with a respectable 37 points on nine wins, ten draws, and 19 losses. David Wagner was able to execute some excellent performances for Huddersfield that will keep them up another season.

For Arsenal, this match closes the door on the chapter of Arsene Wenger. The search for the next great Arsenal manager begins as he will inherit a squad with one of the most talented African strikers in Aubamyeng. The Gunners will play Europa League football next season.
