Southampton has bucket loads of confidence over their opponents before this evening.

They’ve maintained a steady run spoiled by late goals conceded in their quest. It could have been all so easy, but when do teams ever make anything easy for themselves.

However, their run has been better than the team they face tonight. It has to be this match as the next calling is Manchester City at the Etihad. Not something any team in their position would welcome. But if they do a job in their Swansea battle – they will make the job so much easier over the weekend.

This struggling team has only failed to not score in two of their last six. They’ve done the complete opposite and went from a team struggling to find the back of the net, to finding the zone on several occasions.

A win puts them above Huddersfield – which is where they want to be before the weekend’s fixtures take place. It also puts them three points above the hosts, Swansea City. Everything to gain and everything to lose in this fixture.
