Huddersfield 0-2 Everton

The Toffees traveled to the John Smith’s Stadium to play as the visitors against Huddersfield Town. Everton scored late in the first half as Cenk Tosun added another goal to his breakout season. Tosun’s fifth goal of the season was followed by Idrissa Gueye’s strike in the second half to earn the 2-0 victory.

For Everton, they have earned three points for a second straight match behind goals from new players. Walcott, Tosun, and Gueye have been the key to a successful season for Everton. They are in eighth and will play Southampton in Matchday 37 next weekend.

The Terriers make it seven Premier League home matches they have failed to score in, which is leading the league. The Terriers are just three points above relegation with three matches to play. The rest of Huddersfield’s season is daunting. They play City, Chelsea, and Arsenal to end the year.

It’s very possible Huddersfield could fall back to the Championship with this schedule they face to end the campaign.
