Not a world-class player, but a player looking destined to have a bright future. We’ve seen players like Trent Alexander-Arnold, Harry Winks and others come through and make a name for themselves, with this young man is not far from doing the same.

If you having a season as gloomy as Arsenal is, knowing one of your youth players are close to signing a new contract is something of a silver lining. Gunners star Reiss Nelson, is said to be close to agreeing a new long-term contract with the club.

In all things dark, one thing shined ever so bright and that light was none other than Reiss Nelson. He has been a breath of fresh air in a team exhaling a lot of carbon dioxide. Problems stemming all the up from management, all the way down to individual performances – there is really one player who has played above all the bollocks Arsenal has conjured up this campaign.

First the worry of him playing that led to questions of, ‘why is he playing over this player’ or, ‘who is this new face, Wenger can’t be serious we already poor’. changed with a string of good performances to, ‘why has be been left out’ or, ‘what a joy it is to watch this lad, at least there’s talent in Arsenal still’.

A quick rise to Gunners fame is on the cards for this Englishman. He has been highly rated across almost the whole of Europe – hopefully for Arsenal it will be at the Emirates where he stands out and becomes a prolific forward in the English Premier League.

How close is the deal?

The player himself has hinted a deal is close to be agreed upon and how happy he is to eventually sign for a club of Arsenal’s statue – according to reports. Apparently it has been a pain in trying to keep top talents at a club since many has gone abroad in search of first team football, faster.

“It is a big achievement to sign for a big club like Arsenal so I’m just delighted with the contract and hopeful that I can sign it soon.”

At 18-years-old, Wenger would perhaps want to tie him down to a five-year deal, extending his stay at the club to 2023. If this was to happen, it calls for celebrations for both parties involved in the deal.

This will be a massive plus for the London club after a traumatizing showing this campaign. He, along with a handful of other youngsters are said to be in the books for a new contract.

To tie up this man first – would also be my first priority. I rate him better than Sterling was at the age of 18-year-old. Judging he has a bigger footballing brain. That’s if Sterling has one.

Arsenal is in need of a fresh new look, hopefully he becomes this for them if, or when Arsenal decides to part ways with Wenger. All positive vibes and feels afore next season.
