Who’s this Swansea side and what have they done with the team of players that started off the season so poorly? Well, they got a new manager for one – and boy, what a job he’s been doing.

The team in white put a stop to the FA Cup hopes – of the team in green last night. Who wouldn’t pay for a ticket to go and witness a match filled with nine goals? Well, in this case – the visitors didn’t enjoy spending their money I’m sure.

Swansea City gives the FA Cup eight reasons why they should advance through to the next round. First the brilliance to take the first tie to a draw, in order to achieve the replay at Liberty stadium, and then a strong message to those, doubting this club who’s fighting relegation.

Swansea City went into this encounter with no Bony leading the attacking line. They had a fairly strong team fielded, to take on the visitors, who named an equally strong eleven.

The first half started as expected – with the home side running the show. From the first minute of the game, Carvalhal’s men put pressure on Notts County. Completely unmatched, and unseen in this fixture – Notts could do little to stop the speed the Swans were boasting.

Once the first goal was scored in the 18th minute of the game by, Tammy Abraham – the game was heading in one direction. Not long after the first, Nathan Dyer broke the backline and doubled the host’s lead.

Premature celebrations saw Notts come back with one goal – little did we know, this would be only for consolation, and that Noor Husin’s goal would mean nothing after a goal feast broke out, after the half time break.

Before the break – Dyer made sure they were on a massive high, by doubling his team’s lead  again – and collecting a well deserved, brace.

All appeared to know, Swansea was not letting Notts County back into the game, and to prove they meant business, they managed three goals in under ten minutes of the second half.

WOW! That’s all that can be said.

The eighth and final goal came late on in the embers of the game. Daniel James, 82nd minute goal – only applied salt to open wounds.
