Another manager takes leave from the English Premier League, and so far this one makes the least sense. Marco Silva leaves Watford after sacking, but deserves praises for his time at the club.

The Top Flight was devastated by the news – Watford sacked Marco Silva. But somehow, you would expect a silly move from the Hornets such as this sacking. He’s the eighth manager to take absence from the Premier League this season.

Watford, before this campaign got underway – were knowing for keeping a manager a season long and keep the ideas fresh with a new style at the start of every season. Silva, before the campaign kicked off was known for his new style of football management.

The support the Portuguese was shown when being announced as the manager of the club – was amazing. With a several additions to the team, Silva was on his way to one of Watford’s best start to a Premier League campaign, ever!

More from Premier League

How the Portuguese manager Marco Silva, started life at Watford:

The Hornets got off to a flying start. There first game was against top-six side, and attacking threat, Liverpool. They built on a such a great match and start to the Premier League.

They went on to achieve better results throughout their 2017-2018 – getting a win here, stealing points there, and upsetting the standings involving some of the top-six clubs.

It appeared to be a match made in heaven for both, Marco Silva and the Hornets. No secret of the newly crowned, tactical genius and his way of collecting points with a club – half the grade of their sometimes opponents.

Because of the message sent out about the Portuguese manager and his ability – teams, who were meant to be in a good way, lost their managers due to too many games lost in the early stages (Everton losing Ronald Koeman in particular – would be the main culprit), came knocking.

After the attempts to lure Silva from the Hornets nest, he seemed to of lost his mojo just before the busiest period of the footballing fixture, December and January. Silva got caught up in a situation where he gave the look of a man ready to leave and take on a new experiment, bigger than Watford.

Then it all began, a forcefully, mobbed set of fixtures, and Watford couldn’t cut it. Losing or drawing a host of fixtures, on the way to the New Year – was not the signs of a tactical genius.

It got worse for the Premier League first timer and eventually he got sacked by the club who warded off any interest from Premier League rivals, in the first place. It’s easier trying to understand what women want – than what Watford has done.

Next: Brighton sent begging by Chelsea

Are they after a European spot? Did Marco promise a Europa League finish and now floundered the hopes of that happening? Or, did he give them a taste, perhaps a false hope – they‘re a team who could push for that type of status?

It was a weird sense of timing for them to part ways, no matter what their reasoning. The hole created could be bigger than the hole the manager was in. When clubs take such outrageous actions – they put heaps of pressure on the next man coming in.
