Another season and another link for a player who’s wanted out since winning his first and last, Premier League medal. Question stands, is Liverpool serious about their aspirations in the Champions League and their fight for top four?

A massive hole left by Liverpool’s world-class player Philippe Coutinho, who’s just joined and finalised his deal to Spanish club, Barcelona. What will they do with business wrapped up, the player gone, and bags full of money?

The Liverpool manager has Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain, Adam Lallana, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Roberto Firmino as first team options in attack. With Phil gone, the Reds are a momentous player short, lack creativity in their final third and lose a goal threat.

Not to say the Anfield side’s in all suits of trouble and misfortune – but having lost one of your best players, if not, your best player, will surely take work to find a replacement. Liverpool take on Man City in a mouth-watering fixture, on the next Matchday of the Premier League – this will be the significant test needed to assess Klopp and his men.

Inevitably, having to function on the pitch and get use to life without the Brazilian attacker. Liverpool will be pushed through the gauntlet by City and will have 90 minutes to show who’s got the goods. This is where one of the other attackers pick up the batten and leads the way.

Is there any truth in the Mahrez link and is it the right move for Liverpool Football Club?

In the light of transfer news during the transfer window – things can change drastically and improve for your club, or not improve. It just sometimes can be a blood-boiling time for teams, managers and supporters.

Now comes the transfer news of Riyad Mahrez and his link to Liverpool. Before yesterday, the footballing world were more than convinced the winger was scheduled for a medical and was nearing a £50 million move to the Merseyside club.

Move a couple of days on and the transfer is nowhere close to completion.

First of all, these frauds have been leading the way with the hoax of Mahrez joining. Since being overly confident and assured of the transfer happening, with their sources so reliable [bEIN Sports] – the transfer appears to not be happening at all.

After reporting the medical was due to happen on Monday, the frauds have since stepped back from their stance and stated, Klopp and Liverpool, pulled the plug. Please! Pull the plug on your account, it’s depressing to say the least.

It comes as no surprise that Mahrez emergers as the possible replacement for the void left in the line up. He has all the qualities to take on the pressure filled zone. He can play on either side of the pitch and has the ability to drop in behind the striker.
