The first move on the board secured by the new Everton manager as they complete the signing of Cenk Tosun for a small fee of £27 million from Turkish powerhouses, Besiktas.
During the summer window predecessor Ronald Koeman, signed a raft of players ahead of the campaign. Trying to fill a void left by their 30 plus goals a season striker, Lukaku.
Unfortunately, this was met with no success and the manager was in the end, sacked from his post and then came along, Big Sam. He’s taken the batten from Koeman and set off on the right foot. Bringing Everton back on the track and out of the gutter, Sam has made a huge difference.
The only signing that’s been a success to date and worked well under both, Koeman and now Sam was Wayne Rooney, the clubs highest goal scorer this season.
Record signing Gylfi Sigurdsson, hasn’t really been the hit they were hoping – but steadily he’s brought his feet to the ground and chipped in with better performances since the Dutch manager took leave.

Now they have a new man in town – Cenk Tosun:
Cenk Tosun is a 25-year-old forward who can play across the entire frontline. Along with playing for Besiktas, the player has 11 caps for his country.
He’s extremely good in the air, with a great header on the ball, good with the ball at his feet, and works unlimitedly hard for the team – by getting back to help in defence. He injects pace into a slow and robust Everton side, which is strongly needed in front of goal.
Taken from the Guardian:
"“Sam Allardyce has said Everton are on the brink of signing Cenk Tosun and hope to register the Turkey international in time for Friday’s FA Cup derby against Liverpool.“Everton have agreed a deal rising to £27m for the striker following talks with the Besiktas president, Fikret Orman, in London on Wednesday.“Tosun has still to finalise a four-and-a-half year contract at Goodison Park and pass a medical but, providing both are completed before midday on Friday, the 26-year-old could feature in the Everton squad for the third-round tie at Anfield.”"

He could work tremendously well with the captain Rooney. The Englishman has a fun time when feeding players in front of him, who have the pace to get in behind the defensive line. This is a huge signing for Sam Allardyce, as he tries to return the Blues back to a European spot.
It’s not impossible with them sitting in 9th place and only 12 points off Arsenal and 7 away from Burnley.
