English Premier League: Friday Night Football – West Ham entertains Leicester City
Two clubs not fortunate enough to be in any European competitions open the Premier League Matchday 13 with Friday Night Football. West Ham invites Leicester City to the Olympic Stadium.
With Moyes first match as the new West Ham manager, an away defeat to Watford. Moyes will be hoping for a better showing from his home team later this evening in his first home encounter.
They face another team who’s just recently undergone a managerial change as well and has since accumulated a loss, a draw, and a win [1L-1D-1W]. Although results haven’t been kind to them while losing their last fixture to an overpowering, Man City. They do look a better side on the pitch. Actually far better than the home side, West Ham.
West Ham last three fixtures in the Premier League:
P | Home | VS | Away | Results |
1st | Watford | VS | West Ham | 2-0 (L) |
2nd | West Ham | VS | Liverpool | 1-4 (L) |
3rd | Crystal Palace | VS | West Ham | 2-2 (D) |
Moyes’ granted a bit of good fortune in his second game in Hammers colours and his first game at home. Said to have passed their fitness test by the Evening Stand, both first team players, Ayew and Arnautovic are likely to start after almost not making it.

The player with the least luck out of the three doubtful players in the West Ham team is attacker, Hernandez. The Mexican striker will be missed but hopefully Carroll reaps the benefits of the home crowd’s support and can lead the line as did before all the foul play.
Taken from the Evening Stand:
"“Andre Ayew and Marko Arnautovic have been passed fit for West Ham’s home game with Leicester.“Ayew has recovered from the illness which sidelined him at Watford last weekend and Arnautovic is available after going off with a thumb injury.“But Javier Hernandez is still out with a hamstring problem, and although James Collins and Michail Antonio are back in training they are short of match fitness.”"
The away side’s Fox trot has been a small success but a success that can see them push high up the table. With nothing really changing over at the Foxes den, all to report ahead of their travels to the Olympic Stadium is what the manager had to say about the important fixture.

"“It could be a crucial game. After our loss against Manchester City, we must come back with a good ambition and we know it will be a difficult game.“They have changed their manager, a bit like Everton when we played them. It is a new difficulty for us because we know their players but they have played just one game with their new manager.“We hope we can play with conviction and we will see what system they play.“The important thing is to stay focused and show good concentration to get, I hope, a good result.“It is about keeping concentration in our game. We know some players of this team but the most important thing is to think about our understanding on the pitch and to play good football.“I want to see a good control of the game and to put in place a good ambition.”"
