One of the promoted clubs predicted to be the worst for the ongoing crusade, embodies what you get, should you judge a book by it’s cover. The experience coupled with determination is what Brighton have displayed to date.

No better way to describe what Brighton and the other newly promoted sides have done. Chris Hughton and his men, have been stealing points and knocking their bottom-of-the-table adversary out the park.

Who’d have thought, the club most likely not to succeed, sits in 9th place on the Premier League table with 16 points. The Seagulls have been soaring high since joining TheTopFlight of English football.

The run endured by this so called “lesser” team has already seen them beat, West Brom, Newcastle, West Ham, and Swansea City, respectively. While on this terrific run they managed to steal points away from home against Watford. All while holding Premier League pedigrees, Everton, Southampton, and Stoke City to low scoring draws.

A run like this cannot be classified as a stroke of luck – a result of other team’s poor performances to date. No … It’s a mixer of this plus what’s going on in the dressing room. The same mindset that’s been installed during their Championship run that got them here, has transferred over to their run in Premier League.

This is exactly what Hughton needed from the Seagulls to make a statement in their maiden season. Only thing now for this small club is to try and continue on the run they’ve worked on so hard to achieve.

Some key factors influencing this brilliant run of Brighton:

I’d start off by saying, Chris Hughton has an immense part to play in the Seagulls rise and good run of games. His experience in taking charge of a team with little hope in the Premier League, has been pivotal to this team leaving everything on the field.

The two old eagles in the Seagulls nest:

Glenn Murray

Tomer Hemed

His experience is matched by the club’s two veteran strikers leading the line. They have shown experience in many instances and on few occasions, showing none at all. Both Glenn Murray (34) and Tomer Hemed (30), have been at the point of their spearhead.

Another great addition to the team was the inclusion of record signing and pacey winger, Jose Izquierdo. Money well spent for the team who occupy the middle of the table with a bit of breathing room.

Hopefully for them, these factors keep affecting them positively and they can keep pushing on while they in this fine vein of form.
