Chelsea bowed out to Man City over the weekend at Stamford Bridge and released the pressure off the Manchester clubs at the top of the table.

Bad news keeps coming for the Blues. A short happiness lived for the London club, after the return to action for star player, Eden Hazard. Chelsea gets burnt with news of star striker Alvaro Morata’s hamstring injury.

With Diego Costa practically an Atletico man, cover for Morata is at a bear minimal for the Blues. Michy Batshuayi has been a last minute hero for Chelsea but, comparing the two young forwards the Belgian striker’s nowhere near the class of Alvaro Morata.

After the injury concerns over their inform striker, reports came out of the manager’s desire to leave at the end of the season. There was news of this early on before the season started but soon died after the campaign got underway.

The Italian manager was said to be furious with the Blue’s board over the injury of Morata and expressed the cover for Morata was short of class and stated.

Recent news at Chelsea:

In recent news regarding the ex-champ’s, it’s said the club will do everything in their power to keep Conte at the Bridge. This is if rumours are true surrounding the club and their manager wanting to leave.

The start of this convincing act will be to try and sign Alexis Sanchez and Alex Sandro to Chelsea and make sure the club has gone for targets, the Italian was heavily linked with the summer transfer window.

If this were to happen, Chelsea would be short players come a Champions League fixture. This due to the players who are being linked with Chelsea are all cup-tied.

However, Chelsea boasts a world-class squad. It would be interesting to see how and if these transfers materialise. Would certainly like to see if it will help in the attempt to keep Europe’s best manager at the Bridge.

The break gives the Blues a chance to regroup and find out what to do in the absence of Morata. International duty could help see if Batshuayi can make a lasting impression.

Unfortunately, I doubt it highly he would make the starting line up, having to go up against an inform, Lukaku.
