Final lineup and notable mentions

Now the lineup of XI potential free agents is complete, where would this team finish in the Premier League this year?

There were other names who could have made the XI, too.

Some of the more notable ones include Jon Obi Mikel and Branislav Ivanovic of Chelsea, Gareth Barry of Everton, Joe Ledley of Crystal Palace, Lucas Leiva of Liverpool, Jesus Navas, Bacary Sagna and Pablo Zabaleta from Manchester City, Michael Carrick of Manchester United and Glen Johnson of Stoke City.

Barry in particular has been outstanding for the Toffees and could easily have made this team of potential free agents. In fact, Barry has been so good it would be shocking if he even made it to being a free agent.

Obi Mikel and Ivanovic represent the other end of the spectrum. It would be a shock if they didn’t end up leaving on free transfers. Chelsea desperately need to move on from some of the old guard and build a newer, younger, fresher Chelsea.

Pep Guardiola will continue to overhaul his City squad next summer and Navas, Sagna and Zabaleta will be prime candidates to be next out the exit door.

Some ageing, but big names could be available across the Premier League after this season. It will be interesting to see just how many of these players actually become free agents come the end of the current campaign.
