The Louis van Gaal effect; potential Manchester United XI come August
Stefan De Vrij (3) has made quite a name for himself at club level and for the Dutch national team – would he make the grade at Old Trafford?
Stefan de Vrij (CB) – Rumored interest; 6million pound market value
It’s no surprise that there are potential links for the Feyenoord and Dutch international center-back. He is highly touted in the Eredivisie for his club and given his form thus far in Brazil and his success in the 5-3-2, De Vrij would be a solid acquisition.
His strengths come in many areas, but he excels in the air and is able to deal with the physical battles that are a weekly occurrence in the Premier League. He even has a goal or two in him, scoring four this past season for Feyenoord and opening his international account in the 5-1 thrashing of Spain. At 22, he has a ton of room to grow and under the tutelage of LvG, there’s no reason to expet nothing but the best out of him.
