As Liverpool continues to move towards the Premier League title in 2024/25, some of their main rivals are already thinking about important reinforcements to increase their competitiveness with the Reds next season. Among the most speculated players, Victor Osimhen is certainly one of the biggest talents targeted by English teams.

Unable to find much of a foothold at Napoli this season, the Nigerian signed for Galatasaray on loan in January, enjoying considerable success with excellent performances and decisive displays. After last weekend's round of matches, Victor Osimhen had 22 goals and five assists in just 28 games played in Turkey's Süper Lig.

The latest reports in the Turkish press suggest that Arsenal will go all out to sign the attacking talent in the next transfer window. This move makes total sense considering the considerable drop in the Gunners' attacking output with the loss of key players in the second half of the season.

However, it's worth remembering that Manchester United considered signing the Nigerian in the last transfer window and are expected to step up their interest in the coming months. Another rival of the Gunners is Chelsea, who have already confirmed (through owner Todd Boehly) that they are interested in signing the striker.

Understand how Victor Osimhen would fit in at Arsenal

Victor Osimhen is one of the best players in European football at the moment when it comes to finishing, and has been decisive for Galatasaray in a number of games. The Nigerian also has a knack for short passes and frequent attempts at finishing in headed attempts.

Considering the lack of a great goalscorer, Arsenal need to rely on their ‘Erling Haaland’ or ‘Mohamed Salah’ to consolidate Mikel Arteta's ideas during a full season that is increasingly physically demanding. However, the Nigerian will need to adapt tactically without the ball and, above all, improve his positioning to avoid frequent offside.
