Tomorrow afternoon, Leicester City come up against Newcastle United in the Premier League. Here is the predicted Leicester lineup.
The Foxes will be looking to build on their incredible momentum under Ruud van Nistelrooy. In the Dutch manager’s first two matches as manager, Leicester are unbeaten.
It goes without saying that facing Newcastle is never an easy match. The Magpies are a historic side with great calibre in matches such as this. Therefore, Leicester must bring their A-game.
Without further ado, here is the predicted Leicester lineup vs Newcastle…
Predicted Leicester lineup for Newcastle clash in Premier League
GK - Mads Hermansen. Starting off between the sticks, it’s always an easy choice. The Danish shot-stopper has had an incredible start to life in the Premier League.
RB - James Justin. Played all but one of Leicester’s matches so far this season. He’ll need to be on top of his game against Anthony Gordon and co.
CB - Conor Coady. One of the immediate changes RvN made was to introduce Coady to the starting lineup, at the expense of Wout Faes. This will be the case yet again.
CB - Jannik Vestergaard. Started the opening two matches under Ruud and hardly put a foot wrong. Don’t be surprised to see him back in the starting lineup this weekend.
LB - Victor Kristiansen. He’s had some great opportunities in the starting lineup this season and he’s only set to continue profiting.
CM - Hamza Choudhury. Unfortunately, Wilf was forced off the pitch last weekend. He is missing for this match, meaning Hamza Choudhury could benefit from a rare start.
CM - Oliver Skipp. Boubakary Soumare is missing through a suspesnion, meaning Oliver Skipp will step up for this match.
CM - Bilal El Khannouss. It has been excited to see the Morocco international rise to the starting lineup. Against Brighton, he was key to the result, despite missing Leicester’s two goals. He wasn’t afraid to get stuck in.
RW - Facundo Buonanotte. It'll be great to have the Argentine back and available for selection again, after missing the last match against his parent club Brighton.
ST - Jamie Vardy. What a terrific season Vardy is having, but are we really surprised? The Leicester legend will start again.
LW - Jordan Ayew. Didn’t cover himself in glory last weekend but he’s had a brilliant season nevertheless. He deserves another shot in the starting lineup.
Predicted Leicester lineup vs Newcastle: Hermansen; Justin, Coady, Vestergaard, Kristiansen; Skipp, Choudhury, El Khannouss; Buonanotte, Vardy, Ayew
