The transfer window slammed shut last week, but clubs are still able to sign free agents should they choose to do so. Let's take a look at three current free agents that could be of use to current Premier League sides.

Free agents who could be serviceable to Premier League sides

1. Adrien Rabiot

Perhaps the most surprising current free agent, Rabiot brings a wealth of experience and caliber to the table. The French midfielder has been a regular for Les Blues over the past three international tournaments and has spent his entire senior club career at Paris Saint Germain and Juventus, so is clearly capable of playing at the highest level. His lack of club cost him a place in the most recent France squad, so he is no doubt itching to find a new home soon.

2. Ivan Perisic

The Croatian veteran made a romantic return to hometown club Hadjuk Split, initially on loan, last January. However, for whatever reason, it was a very short lived reconciliation and the winger is now a free agent. Even at the start of last season for Spurs, he showed he is capable of being a top creator at this level and could be worth a try on a free should his wages be modest enough.

3. Joel Matip

The Cameroonian defenders nine year stint at Anfield came to an end last season, having played a huge part in Liverpool's most successful era since the 1980's. You can only assume that his injury history is putting potential suitors off, but you would imagine for him to play games here and there and not have to deal with the intense two or three game a week schedule, he could certainly be worth looking into on a free transfer.

All three players come with caveats, whether it be wages, age, injury record, perhaps two of the three or even all three, but if a deal can be financially and sportingly viable, then it wouldn't be surprising to see these players snapped up very soon.
