The latest Manchester City transfer news is that Real Madrid are planning to raid the Premier League champions to lure star striker Erling Haaland to the Spanish capital and they have a plan in place to make it a reality.

The La Liga giants are plotting a strategic move by utilizing their ace card Jude Bellingham to secure Haaland. Madrid aim to replicate the success of Bellingham's transfer strategy in their pursuit of the prolific Manchester City striker, as reported by The Sun.

Real Madrid's Bellingham-Haaland Tactic Unveiled

Aiming for success with a proven transfer strategy, Real Madrid, eyeing a future with Erling Haaland, have decided to deploy the same approach that worked wonders in securing Jude Bellingham. The plan involves leveraging the friendship between Bellingham and Haaland to navigate a potential deal with Manchester City.

The Bellingham Blueprint: Haaland's Turn

Following the success of Bellingham's swift transition to the Bernabeu from Dortmund, Real Madrid are set to go on the same route in their Haaland chase. By keeping negotiations discreet and involving intermediaries, Madrid want to establish a groundwork without directly engaging with Haaland or Manchester City.

During their Bellingham pursuit, Madrid made it a priority to maintain positive relations with the German outfit before making a viable offer. Dortmund were really impressed and appreciative of the move as they were kept informed of the proceedings leading to the Englishman moving to Santiago Bernabeu.

The same plan of action could be enough to sign the Norwegian goal-machine from Manchester City.

A Delicate Balancing Act

Haaland has a release clause in his contract with City, initially set at €200 million until 2024. The following year, the fee decreases to €175 million. With negotiations through representatives and intermediaries, Real Madrid would want to maintain a delicate balance, aligning their moves with the evolving situation around Kylian Mbappe, their top priority target.

City manager Pep Guardiola views his 23-year-old forward as a key player for their domestic and European title aspirations. The Spaniard would want City authorities to offer a lucrative deal to Haaland in order to extend his stay at the Etihad Stadium beyond his current contract till 2027.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, however, would have no qualms in paying Haaland’s release clause if the situation arise.

The City maestro has admitted in the past that he has a dream of playing in Spain one day. With Bellingham becoming an instant success at Los Blancos, the temptation could be too much to resist for Haaland when Madrid come calling.
