Manchester United vs Tottenham: TV channel, prediction, team news & lineups
By Ben Gray
The last ten encounters between these two sides have produced a whopping 36 goals, with both teams scoring in seven of them, so expect another entertaining affair come Sunday afternoon.
Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur Preview
Can either Manchester United or Tottenham start to climb the table? Both have a miserly seven points on the board after five games, and the mood around Old Trafford only worsened on Wednesday night.
That's because, despite taking the lead through Christian Eriksen, Man United were held to an embarrassing 1-1 draw by FC Twente in their Europa League opener. Far too easily, they were cut open for the visitor's second half equaliser.
So, having been held to a goalless draw by Crystal Palace last weekend, a crisis is never too far away if you're Erik ten Hag, for whom this is the start of a big week, given that away games against both Porto and then Aston Villa are to come.
In short, the only thing consistent about Man United right now is their continued inconsistency, so who knows what they're going to produce here?
As for Tottenham Hotspur, since defeat in the North London derby, they've responded with three straight wins, first beating Coventry in the EFL Cup and Brentford in the league last weekend.
Then, on Thursday night, despite seeing Radu Drăgușin sent off in the seventh minute. Spurs still managed to swat aside Qarabağ 3-0 in the Europa League, with Brennan Johnson, Pape Matar Sarr and Dominic Solanke all on target.
Thus, victory here would be the first time in 11 months that Ange Postecoglou's team have put together four consecutive victories in all competitions. In summary, nobody is quite sure how good either of these two sides are just now, hence why this encounter is so fascinating.

Manchester United Team News
Erik ten Hag went generally very strong against his former side Twente in mid-week, making the 1-1 scoreline all the more concerning. Matthijs de Ligt and Kobbie Mainoo are the only two guaranteed starters set to return, while Alejandro Garnacho could also displace Amad out-wide.
In attack, having come off the bench in both of the last two games, Rasmus Højlund will be hoping to see more minutes here, potentially displacing Joshua Zirkzee from the start. Leny Yoro, Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are all still injured.
Manchester United predicted lineup vs Tottenham Hotspur: (4-1-4-1): Onana; Mazraoui, de Ligt, Martínez, Dalot; Ugarte, Mainoo, Fernandes, Garnacho, Rashford; Zirkzee.
Manchester United Player to Watch vs Tottenham Hotspur
Marcus Rashford has six career goals against Tottenham, only on target against Leicester and Liverpool more frequently. Having found the net against Southampton and Barnsley so far this month, there are signs that Rashford is getting back to his best, even if only incrementally.
Tottenham Hotspur Team News
Captain Son Heung-min hobbled off after 70 minutes on Thursday making him a doubt, which would be a huge blow.
Elsewhere, Pedro Porro and James Maddison were both unused substitutes against Qarabağ, while Destiny Udogie and Rodrigo Bentancur were both required off the bench. With Wilson Odobert and Richarlison both injured, if Son is out, Ange Postecoglou would be left with very few attacking options.
Tottenham Hotspur predicted lineup vs Manchester United: (4-2-3-1): Vicario; Porro, van de Ven, Romero, Udogie; Bentancur, Bissouma, Kuluševski, Maddison, Johnson; Solanke.
Tottenham Hotspur Player to Watch vs Manchester United
Dominic Solanke scored home and away against Manchester United last season, on target during a famous 3-0 Bournemouth victory at Old Trafford last December. Having been on target during Spurs' last two games, home wins over Brentford and Qarabağ, can he keep both streaks going?
Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur Prediction
We're expecting a high-scoring affair, but we simply cannot seperate these two sides. Tottenham have won only three of their last 15 Premier League away games, losing five of the last eight, while their record at Old Trafford isn't much better, claiming victory from only four of their last 38 visits.
Nevertheless, Man United are hardly inspiring at the moment, so we're sitting on the fence and forecasting a score-draw, akin to what the pair produced in January: Manchester United 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur.
