Erik ten Hag will continue to play his favoured 4-2-3-1 formation in this game. In goal, Manchester United will play Andre Onana who is getting criticised heavily for his errors and lack of clean sheet. Diogo Dalot is expected to start at the right back. Also, Harry Maguire would partner Raphael Varane in the centre-back position for Manchester United with Luke Shaw coming in as the left-back.
In the midfield, Sofyan Amrabat and Scott McTominay will play as defensive midfielders as they will have the tough job of going against the strong Liverpool midfield.
