Manchester United lost 2-0 to West Ham after mistakes from Kobbie Mainoo proved to be the downfall of the Red Devils. Manchester United had their chances in the first half. Garnacho missed a sitter and Hojlund once again experienced what it feels to play as a United striker. It is a graveyard shift.  However, West Ham were clinical and took their chances with both hands. So, here are the Man Utd player ratings vs West Ham in their 2-0 loss at the London Stadium.

Man Utd player ratings vs West Ham (WHU 2-0 MUN)

GK: Andre Onana (5/10) – In the first half, Onana didn’t have much to do. However, in the second half he made a terrific save from the header of Jarrod Bowen. He had nothing to do with the two goals United con conceded.

RB: Aaron Wan-Bissaka (5/10) – In both halves, Wan-Bissaka played a decent game. West Ham couldn’t conjure any attack from his end of the pitch. However, he should’ve given more going forward.

CB: Willy Kambwala (6/10) – The teenager made his debut in this game and didn’t put a foot wrong. He looked solid as a centre-back and is a promising prospect for Manchester United going forward.

  • SUB: Sergio Reguilon: (3/10) – After coming on for Kambwala, Reguilon moved to the left-back position and Shaw became the centre-back. He looked good going forward for the small amount of time he was on the pitch.

CB: Jonny Evans (4/10) – As a senior pro in this game, much more was expected from Jonny Evans. However, he lost his cool in the end and could’ve got a red card as well.

LB: Luke Shaw (6/10) – One of the best players on the pitch for United hands down. However, he could’ve been a bit more vigilant in the first goal as he couldn’t track the run of Bowen. He was very good going forward and linking up on the left-hand side.

DM: Scott McTominay (3/10) – There was a time in the game when McTominay was invisible. He was poor in this game and Ten Hag’s obsession with playing him is appalling. He deserves a low score in Man Utd player ratings vs West Ham.

DM: Kobbie Mainoo (5/10) – Man Utd fans shouldn’t be harsh on Mainoo. Yes, he made a big mistake for that second goal completely and failed to track the run of Jarrod Bowen during the first goal. However, overall he looked good.

AM: Bruno Fernandes (4/10) – In most of the chances that United created in the first and second half, Burno played a key role in them. However, he failed to create a clear-cut chance for the forwards. Still, it was a disappointing performance from Man Utd’s captain.

LW: Alejandro Garnacho (4/10) – This has been one of the worst games for United’s star boy. He missed perhaps the best chance of the game. Also, he had a few chances that he squandered. United fans expect a lot better performance from him.

  • SUB: Christian Eriksen (3/10) – After coming on for Garnacho, Eriksen looked like a calming figure in the midfield. Still, he couldn’t create anything. But, the positive thing for United is that he is back.

RW: Antony (4/10) – It was a mixed performance from the Brazilian winger. At times he looked good. However, when he got the ball in good positions, he looked clueless like in most matches. He did play some good passes. But, his shooting needs improvement.

  • SUB: Facundo Pellistri (3/10) – He came on for Antony in the 73rd minute. However, Pellistri failed to make his presence felt in the game. He is still young and has a lot to learn.

ST: Rasmus Hojlund (3/10) – It’s hard to give a rating to Hojlund because United failed to create chances for him. He played in a graveyard shift and his goal drought in the Premier League continues much to the concerns of Manchester United fans.

  • SUB: Marcus Rashford (3/10) – Another poor outing for United’s winger. His shooting was appallingly poor. Also, he couldn’t create anything in the game, and looked invisible.
